UNMUTE YOUR COMMUTE

Aside from the extra large coffee I purchase every single day on my way to the train, a new track freshly uploaded to my iPod is partially responsible for waking me up on most New York mornings. This song is a champion blend and I strongly recommend it for the cruelest commutes. It's a Daytrotter recording of Liam Finn and it's quite spectacular. Oh, and it won't cost you $3.21 like my venti ice coffee.

What beats the acoustic version of an already amazing track? The Delta Spirit have been a Velveteen favorite since inception, and while the lyrics of this song hit me like a ton of bricks on the album version, this live recording works a little harder. Seriously suggest searching for this superb collection of acoustic tracks by the boys of DS.

The only thing more impressive than a talented artist is a young and talented artist. James Blake is 22 years old. He's London based. He is an electronic music composer with an unmistakable sound and an album that is best described as addictive. His melodic and soulful approach to dubstep got him runner up in BBC's Sound of 2011 poll. You can't escape him. I'm hooking it up with two tracks. Your welcome.
