THE SEA & CAKE

Midwest act The Sea & Cake hail from Chicago. They formed in the 1990's, I just discovered them. Very somber, very chill, getting to know their album "Everybody" is very easy. Have a listen. Reminiscent of the Shout Out Louds and the Black Lips I think?

COMING SOON:

tunes by Broken Bells, Owen Pallett, Anya Marina, Nneke, Bebe, & Squeeze.

I LOVE YOU LIKE MAD.

The Bird And The Bee have just released a tribute album to Hall + Oates. Pause for amazing. This is the only track on the disc that is an original, but stay tuned for the throwbacks. They're bomb.

PLEASE DON'T STOP THE MUSIC

Who is Jamie Cullum? I'm not sure, but this is him covering Rihanna. It's dope, so listen.

THESE ARE THE GOOD TIMES IN YOUR LIFE, SO PUT ON A SMILE AND IT'LL BE ALRIGHT.

Open your windows people it's fucking spring time! Download these two tracks, play at full volume (I know I always say that) partially because I'm def partially because it sounds better - that's what I think. Calvin Harris, my man. And Goldfrapp, a sort of female version of Calvin Harris I guess in retrospect. Remember, mucho mucho volume.

SUMMER BREEZE

This band is one of my favorites for 2010. Cannot wait to see and hear them live. They are the future. I really just said that. Have a listen, then agree. It's nice to have some breezy, mellow, beautiful tracks on your summer playlists. It doesn't get any better than Beach House. Sorry, am I including too much opinion? Tough.

Also for your listening pleasure, an ideal following act to the above: 'Candle Burned Out' by the Shout Out Louds. These two tracks should last you all summer. Erlend Oye meets Damien Rice meets Elliot Smith. Go Sweden!

NEW LOGO - WHAT DO YOU THINK?

I'M A LITTLE GARCON

Saw Born Ruffians open up for Vampire Weekend in the city - I can listen to this song 5 times in a row, no problem. It's starts off really chill and builds and builds. It's a good Sunday night song after realizing you spent 350 dollars on booze in 2 days, you have no clean underwear left, and there's work in the morning. I'm just saying...
